Local Palm Seed Purchase Procedure
Download PDFSocfindo seeds can only be purchased and collected from the head office in Medan. This is very important because we are aware of counterfeit seeds trying to use the Socfindo name to sell products.
1.
Seed Request:
Ordering and purchasing of seeds are done directly by buyers/customers to Socfindo without going through third-party agents or distributors. Buyers/customers will receive official confirmation from PT Socfindo regarding the seed request, which contains information on purchasing administration procedures, payment and tentative schedule for seed delivery.

Request Confirmation:
Buyers/customers will receive official confirmation from Socfindo regarding the request, which contains information about prices, purchasing administration procedures and payment as well as tentative delivery schedule.
3.
Documents:
Companies and individuals (farmers) with purchases above 5,000 seeds are required to complete and send SP2B-KS documents (Oil Palm Seed Distribution Approval Letter), issued by the Directorate General of Plantations or local Plantation Service, to Socfindo. Individuals (farmers) with purchases ≤ 5,000 seeds are required to complete and send to Socfindo photocopies of land certificates or land ownership letters from the local Village Head/Sub-district Head.
4.
Payment:
After all procedures are completed, buyers/customers must make payment to PT Socfin Indonesia account and send proof of payment to Socfindo.
5.
Seed Delivery:
Before being handed over to buyers/customers (or parties authorized by buyers/customers), seeds must be labeled and certified by the Center for Plant Breeding and Protection (BBP2TP) of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia. The entire process of handing over seeds to buyers/customers (or parties authorized by buyers/customers) is only carried out at the Head Office of PT Socfin Indonesia (SOCFINDO) Jl. K. L. Yos Sudarso No.106 Medan.

Seed Request:
Orders and purchases of seeds must be made directly by buyers/customers to Socfindo without going through third-party agents or distributors.
2.
Request Confirmation:
Buyers/customers will receive official confirmation from Socfindo regarding the request, which contains information about prices, purchasing administration procedures and payment as well as tentative delivery schedule.
3.
Request Proforma Invoice (PI):
Buyers/customers will send to Socfindo a request for the creation of a Proforma Invoice.
4.
Proforma Invoice Received:
Socfindo will send the requested Proforma Invoice which contains information on prices, payment procedures, the number of seeds to be shipped and the delivery date.
5.
Send Back Proforma Invoice:
Buyers/customers will send back the agreed Proforma Invoice to Socfindo.
6.
Down Payment:
Buyers/customers make a down payment of 30%.
7.
Certification:
After receiving confirmation of the 30% down payment, Socfindo is responsible for processing seed export permits from the Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Indonesia (by attaching the Proforma Invoice that has been approved by the buyer/customer).
8.
Final Payment:
Buyers/customers will pay the remaining 70% final payment, 2 weeks before the delivery date (as stated in the Proforma Invoice).
9.
Copy of Documentation:
Three days before the delivery date and after receiving confirmation of final payment, Socfindo will send to buyers/customers scanned copies of documents containing Phytosanitary certificates, invoices on total payment, packing lists and shipping instructions.
10.
Shipment:
On the day of shipment, Socfindo will also send to buyers/customers original documents containing Phytosanitary certificates, total bills, packing lists, shipping instructions and Oil Palm Seed Certificates.
11.
Send Certificate of Origin:
A maximum of four days after the delivery date, Socfindo will send the original Certificate of Origin to buyers/customers.

Request:
Ordering seedlings and other purchases must be done by filling out an order form.
2a.
Individual Documents:
Individuals (farmers) attach a copy of ID card and photocopy of land certificate or land ownership certificate from the local Village Head/Sub-district Head.
2b.
Company Documents:
Companies attach a copy of NPWP (Tax ID number).
3.
Down Payment:
Make a down payment of at least 25% of the total order to Socfindo account.
4.
Final Payment:
All payments must be paid off to PT Socfin Indonesia account and send proof of payment to Socfindo.
5.
Seedling Collection:
Seedlings can be collected a maximum of 3 months from the date of the order letter, after paying off the remaining payment.
